The Union of Private Schools of Afghanistan said that over 500 private schools have been established across the country in the current solar year.

Azim Maidanwal, the head of the Union of Private Schools of Afghanistan, reported that approximately one and a half million students are currently enrolled in private schools nationwide.

The head of the Union of Private Schools of Afghanistan said, "This year, approximately 500 to 600 private schools have been established in the center and provinces. In areas where there were previously no private schools, now hundreds of students have access to education."

Meanwhile, many teachers and students are pleased with the quality of education in private schools and are urging the Ministry of Education to provide more support private schools.


Mansoor Ahmad Hamza, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, stated that the ministry has exempted private schools from the 1402 solar year tax. According to Hamza, the Ministry of Education is committed to solving the problems of private schools.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Education added, "In the solar year 1400, the Ministry of Education exempted the private schools from taxes and fines that were imposed on them, and officials of this ministry are keen to support the private sector and solve their problems."

The Union of Private Schools also reported that there are about three and a half thousand private schools across the country.
