Darayim is a district in Badakhshan province, Afghanistan. It was created in 2005 from part of Fayzabad District and is home to an estimated 68,419 residents.

Sources reported protests in Darayim district in Badakhshan, where residents demonstrated against what they called oppression and tyranny by non-Badakhshani Taliban. Protesters have alleged that Taliban members are harassing residents, moving from street to street and house to house. The protesters accused the Taliban of demolishing property and oppressing locals. On Friday, conflicts erupted in Qarloq village, Darayim district, where a resident was killed by Taliban gunfire. This incident prompted dozens to gather and chant in protest.(20240504)
