Jumazada_RamazanRamazan Jumazada Juma Zada is the son of Huma Khan and was born 1977 in Shibar District, Bamyian Province. Juma Zada completed his primary and intermediate education in Kabul and finished high school in Pul-i Khumri, Baghlan Province. He entered Balkh Medical College in 1998. During his fourth year of college, he left Mazar for Pakistan where he lived serveral years in self imposed exile when the Taliban occupied the city, and he was unable to complete his education. After his family migrated to Pakistan, he took courses on business and information technology. He is a Member Paiwand-e Milli and close to Sayed Mansoor Naderi (Ismaili Hazara).

In Pakistan, Juma Zada taught at the Aga Khan School and at the Hope Foundation. He played an active role on the Regional Advisory Committee of the Aga Khan Education Program and served as the deputy of the Afghan Rehabilitation Program (ARP), which was affiliated with the Aga Khan Regional Council for Pakistan. After the collapse of the Taliban in 2001, Juma Zada returned to Afghanistan with his
family in March 2002 and worked for a local NGO as a program officer until July 2002, when he was
appointed by the Aga Khan as a member of the National Council for the Economic Portfolio in Afghanistan.
In 2005, Juma Zada joined the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), affiliated with the United
States Chamber of Commerce, and worked there as program manager and then program director. From
2007-2010, Zada was a board member of Focus Humanitarian Assistance for Afghanistan (FOCUS), which is affiliated with the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). In 2009, he joined Chemonics International as a trade specialist. He resigned from Chemonics in June 2010 to prepare for his election  campaign.
