Abdul Qayoum Sulymani Abdul Qayyum Sulaimani the nephew of the former strongman of Herat Ismail Khan, is the new Afghan ambassador in Tehran. The Taliban in Afghanistan has appointed him as its first ambassador.(20220109) Soleimani was the deputy ambassador in the previous government, but after the resignation of the then ambassador to Tehran, Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, he took charge of the embassy.
