Arsala Khan is a Warlord in Kunar Province. He and 37  fighters surrendered to the Afghan Government on March 01, 2011. Taliban insurgents under command of their local leader Bakhtialay destroyed his  house in Argal of Ghaziabad District, Kunar Province, claimed Arsala Khan. He said the insurgents took away nine of his friends who had also joined the peace process. However, the intelligence department (NDS) in Kunar confirmed the kidnapping and financial losses to the former commander.
