3. Biodata:
Mahdawi, son of Qurban, was born 1976 in Lal War Sar Jangle district of Ghor province, but currently lives in Kabul's third district. Mawdawi finished his primary and secondary education in Mashhad High School, Iran in 1997. He got his bachelor’s degree in Political Sociology in 1999. He holds a master’s degree in Political Thought from Tehran University, Iran. Most recently, Mahdawi completed his PhD in Political Sociology in 2005 at Tehran University.He has a PhD in sociology from Iran. He is a member of the Hizb Wahdat Mardom Afghanistan. Dr. Jafar Mahdawi bagged 6th most votes during Wolsesi Jirga Election 2010.
Mahdawi was involved in political and cultural activities while abroad. He served as founder, advisor and lecturer at the Gharjestan Private Institute of Higher Education; he also held the role of Editor-in-Chief and owner of the “Sorosh Millat” daily newspaper. He has advised and participated in the policy-making council of “Rah-e-Farda” Radio and Television station.

Taliban barred a group of 14 individuals from traveling to Doha to attend a meeting of the Afghanistan Future Thought Forum. Some members of the delegation were stopped inside a FlyDubai aircraft and forced to disembark, while others, who were set to fly with Air Arabia, were prevented from boarding altogether. Among the 14 individuals, two were women, the source said. Those blocked from traveling include Faiz Mohammad Zaland, Aziz Ahmad Haneef, Nazar Mohammad Motmaeen, Injila Ahmadi, and Madina Mahbubi, while Jafar Mahdawi was the only member of the delegation allowed to reach Doha.(20250211)
