Taliban and Afghan Government Contact Group Doha

The contact teams of both sides will be reduced to 3 members each, said delegates. Previously, the Afghan republic team had 7 members and the Taliban had 5.  Ghulam Farooq Majroh, Fatima Gailani and Rasul Talib are members of the contact group for the Kabul side, and Nabi Omari, Qari Din Mohammad and Latif Mansoori are contact group members on the Taliban side.(20201019)

According to sources, both side of the negotiations held a behind closed door meeting after the opening of Intra-Afghan talks on Saturday Sept 13, 2020, in Doha for inter-afghan talks where they set the contact groups representing Afghanistan.

Kabul Government 7 members:
Mohammad Masoom Stanekzai,
Nader Nadery, Zarar Ahmad Muqbil,
Mrs. Fawzia Koofi,
Enayatullah Baligh,
Mohammad Natiqi and
Khalid Noor
are the seven members of the contact group.
 

Taliban’s contact group 5 members:
Mawlawi Abdul Kabir,
Abbas Stanekzai, Noorullah Noori,
Mawlawi Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar and
Shaikh Qasim Turkman.
