Haji Nazar Muhammad is one of the 34 by the President (Karzai) nominated Members of the Meshrano Jirga. He is not elected. Haji Nazar Mohammad and Balqis Belqis were nominated to the senate, because they were from the Kochi Kuchi Qoochi nomadic tribe.

Nazar Muhammad was a campaign manager of Karzai in the 2009 Presiential Elections. Participants of public meeting in support of Karzai in Khost City were paid 500 afghanis each.
