Mullah Taj Mohammad is a second tier commander of Ittihad party (Sayyaf). Human Rights Watch is listing him as a Human Rights Abuser. As of mid-2005, he was a parliamentary candidate, head of political group called the Kabul Citizen's Counsel, governor of Kabul in 2003-2004. The former governor of Ghazni province, Mullah Taj Mohammad, also known as Qari Baba, was shot dead near his home in Batta, in the Andar district. Three others in a car with him were also killed.
