3. Biodata:
Khogiani_SaymaSaima Khogyani Khogiani was born 1972 in Bar Bahra Village, Nangahar Province. Khogyani graduated from Bagram Airport High School in Parwan province in 1990 and received her bachelor’s degree in science from the Science Faculty of Kabul University in 2009. She is currently (2012) studying Law and Politics at Aryana Private University in Nangarhar province. During the Taliban period, Khogyani worked with non-governmental  and aid organizations in Pakistan. In 2002, Khogyani participated in the Emergency Loya Jirga.
 

She is a member of the Repubilcan Party. Khogyani leads an organisation called the Independent Parliamentarian Association of Afghan Women (IPAAW). The organisation teaches Afghanis about the importance of Parliament, and especially women Parliamentarians. Khogyani has received training for this from a German organisation.

She has had a long career as a teacher - some of it in secret at home during the Taleban administration. She has also worked in international and Afghan non-governmental organisations. Her credits also include participation in the Loya Jirga tribal council, drafting the constitution, and working for the electoral campaign of President Hamid Karzai. In addition to IPAAW, Khogyani works for the Voice of America radio station.

She stood for Wolesi Jirga Elections 2005 and she was successful in the election 2010.

Khogyani received 2,671 votes in Wolesi Jirga Election 2018 and got a seat in WJ 2018.
 

She is not married.
 

Khogyani speaks Pashtu, Dari and English.
