3. Biodata:
Haji Agha Jan Sayedi, son of Sayed Muhammad, was born in 1957 in Kohistan
district, Kapisa province. Sayedi completed his primary education at Sanji School in Kapisa in 1980. He then joined the Mujahideen during the Soviet-Afghan war.

Following the Soviet era in Afghanistan, Sayedi worked as a businessman in the
vehicle industry. Under the Taliban, he joined Ahmad Shah Massoud as deputy commander in Kapisa
province and was later promoted to general rank in Masoud’s forces. He was also deputy commander of the sixth division in Kapisa during the transitional government.

Haji Agha Jan is Hiszb-i Islami affiliated, which he joined 1979.

He is married and has five children.
