3.Biodata:
Hashimi_Shakiba_2Al-haj Dr. Shakila Hashemi Hashimi was born 1968 in Logar Province Hashimi finished her secondary education at the Professional School of Women in Kabul in 1995. She earned her bachelor’s degree in medicine (with a specialty as an ultrasound technician) from a university in Pakistan in 2002.

Hashimi has been the head of the Development Solidarity Center for Children, Culture and Youth since 2002.

During the Taliban period, Hashimi conducted ultrasound courses and was a master trainer on 35 courses supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). She was one of the first women to perform ultrasound diagnostics in Afghanistan in 1998. She also worked at the Wahaj Private Diagnostic Hospital.

Hashimi participated in the Emergency Loya Jirga in 2002 and the Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003.

Hashimi was elected to parliament in 2005 with 2,855 votes. She served on the Health, Sport, Youth, Labor and Workers commission and later as deputy chair of the Defense and Territorial Affairs commission during this term.

In October 2006 gunmen killed the daughter of MP Shakila Hashemi at her home in an attack believed to have been intended for the MP herself. "Jehadi Shakila" Hashemi chanted slogans in Wolesi Jirga against Malalai Loya, a liberal MNA. Wolesi Jirga elected January 2009 two members of administrative board for its fourth legislative year. Aref Noorzai and Shakila Hashimi were elected. It is said she is a non Hazara Shia.
