3. Biodata:
abdul_qadir_imami_ghoriAbdul Qadir Imami Ghuri Mawlana was born in 1954 in Ghor province. In 1975, he completed his education from the Imam Abu Hanifa seminary of Kabul and got degree from the Sharia Department of Kabul University in 2006. He got his master degree from Peshawar University in Islamic Economics and Islamic Studies. He is leader of the Afghanistan Peace and National Unity Party and representative of the people of Ghor in the Wolesi Jirga. He also participated in the Bonn Conference in 2001. He has written several books on the solution to Afghan problem and religious issues. A Pashtun from Ghor, he was nonetheless a prominent member of the Northern Alliance and a staunch opponent of the Taliban. He has been critical of the ‘interference’ of the international community in Afghanistan and its elections. Abdul Qader Imami Ghori was standing as a candidate in Wolesi Jirga Election 2010 in Faryab, while his daughter Jamila Ghori runs in their home province Ghor.
