3. Biodata:
Gardiwal_Per_BakhshHaji Pirbakhsh Gardiwal was born 1964 in Momandara District,  Nangahar Province. He is from the Mohmand tribe of Pashtuns. Gardiwal graduated from Emal Khan Baba High School in Nangarhar in 1982.

Gardiwal worked as the chairperson of the Nangarhar Transportation Department
from 1993 to 1995. He served as chairperson of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) of Nangarhar
province from 2002-2004. In 2005, he worked as a deputy of tribal affairs in the Kabul NDS and later in the
same year as the political deputy for the NDS in Logar.

He is affiliated with Jamiat-i-Islami Party.

Gardiwal bagged fourth most votes during the 2005 Wolesi Jirga Elections and 6th most in the 2010 elections. When Gardiwal was elected to parliament in 2005, he served on the Commission for Narcotics, Toxic Substances and Ethics during this term.
