History and Biodata

Hesa-i-Doyem Yakawlang was given the status of a new district of central Bamyan province (20161024):
Mohammad Tahir Zuhair (20161024)

Background:
Hesa-i-Doyem Yakawlang had a population of 30,000 and shared borders with Sar-i-Pul and Ghor provinces. The district has fertile farmland and has warm weather that is suitable for growing fruits such as apple, apricot, cherry, walnut, berry and grape. Bamyan previously had seven administrative units. The new district centre was 50 kilometers far from the old Yakawlang and people suffered a lot going there in connection with different things. There is hope that the new district’s creation would help them resolve their problems in a short time.
