Abdul Walid Tamim Waleed Tamim Walid Tamim is a resident of Qarabagh district of Kabul. He was born 1984. He went to Ghulam Haidar Khan High School, Kabul and studied later at Edinburgh Napier University where he was awarded Master of Science (MSc) in Investment Promotion and Economic Development (2008 – 2010).
Oil Enterprise, faced with major organizational and staffing problems, is determined to overcome the challenges and to upgrade its services. Walid Tamim, said the organization has 1,767 employees of which 56 percent are contracted workers. Administrative, operational and financial systems are outdated and there is the possibility of ghost workers in the organization Tamim said. He said the current state of affairs is problematic and that management was attempting to reform the enterprise into a modern organization. Tamim said because of inconsistencies in a number of oil contracts with government-owned oil stations, those contracts will be thoroughly reviewed. Abdul Walid Tamim, former head of Afghanistan’s oil and gas regulatory authority has been sentenced to three years in jail-term by the Anti-Corruption Judicial Center, the Supreme Court announced on Monday April 26, 2021.
