3. Biodata:
Wahidullah Waissi was born on April 18, 1975 in Kabul. In 2004 the Wiiliams College center welcomed Farzana Rashid and Wahidullah Waissi as· its first students from Afghanistan. Waissi was awarded master’s of arts degrees in development economics at Williams 216th Commencement. Center for Development Economics (CDE) at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. on Sunday, June 5, 2005.

Waissi was a member of the Green Club, Kabul, Afghanistan and organised 1.100  Kabul University Students who participated in second day of Environment Week organized by the Green Club Afghanistan, the Cleaning Earth day, and cleaned their faculty yards, pathways and streets from wastes. They also had a waste management program for the collected wastes outside of the University.

Waissi's professional work focuses on economic development since 1998. He has worked for many national and international non-governmental organizations, UN agencies, and government in Kabul and provinces.

He is a visiting scholar of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute of the SAIS/Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC, a fellowship program for raising regional leaders in government, commerce, and academia from Central Asia, Mongolia, the Caucasus and Afghanistan (CAMCA).

Waissi had also studied Results Based Management at the Shanghai based Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute (AFDI) in 2007 under a fellowship granted from Shanghai International Program for Development Evaluation Training (SHIPDET) program.
 

Wahidullah Waissi began his PhD as a part-time study at the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy of the Australian National University on February 2018. He holds a MA in Development Economics from Williams College in Massachusetts, United States.

Wahid is a diplomat, serving as an ambassador for Afghanistan to Australia since March 2017. In this position he is also accredited to New Zealand and Fiji.



Waissi joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2012 as Senior Advisor on regional cooperation. Later, he was appointed as Director-General for Economic Cooperation  at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (2012 to 2016).

Waissi is married and has two daughters and a son.
