Abdul Hannan Qataghani former Police Chief of Takhar claimed that Darqad district of the province fell to the Taliban because what he alleged the forces remained inactive against the group. He claimed that the forces failed to show even a slight resistance against the Taliban – who seized district's control on Wednesday. Surrounded by Kokcha and Amur Rivers, Darqad district have no land route to other parts of the province. Therefore, the residents need to travel to the district by boats.(20151029)
