The total number of Baghlan provincial council members stands at 15, however, the head of provincial council Imam Mohammad Rasool Mohsani was killed in a suicide blast including 12 others in April, 2013 while 10 more were critically injured. Taliban then took responsibility for the attack.
1-Mohammad Rasool Mohsani:
Son of Mohammad Mohsin, Mohammad Rasool Mohsani is born in 1970 in Dih Salah district of Baghlan province.
He became member of Jamiat-e-Islami political wing at early stages of Afghan Jihad when he was 14 year old. After the victory of Mujahidin, Mohsani became commander of Mujahidin contingent 507 and was based in Baghlan.
He played an important role in armed resistant against the Taliban.
Mohsani was elected head of provincial council in 2009 and remained on the post till is death. 
2-Asadullah Shahbaz:
Son of Atiqullah, Asadullah Shahbaz is born in 1982 in Shahikel village, central district of Baghlan.
He received his primary and high school in Shahikel. However, he started his own business finally.
Shahbaz was elected to provincial council in 2009 and still discharges the responsibilities of deputy head of provincial council.
During this time, Shahbaz studies law and political science faculty at university in the second shift. He is the student of second year.

3-Zabihullah Rustami:
Zabihullah Rustami is the son of Abdul Gafar. He is born in 1986 in Mian Shahar village of Khost district in Baghlan province.
He got his primary and high school education from Khost district. In 2006, he was graduated from the faculty of literature at Baghlan University.
He worked in agriculture ministry in 2007and elected to the provincial council in 2009.
Currently, he is the secretary of provincial council.

4-Jahangir Jawan:
Son of Abdullah, Jahangir Jawan is born in 1971 in Dahana-i-Ghuri district of Baghlan province.
He is a 12th class graduate and worked as director of Baghlan transport for six long years.
In 1998, he worked as logistic director of operational brigade and later in 1999, he established his Abdal construction company.

  5-QudratullahWafa:
Son of Alhaj Khan Mohammad, Qudratullah Wafa is born in 1981 in Tangi March village, Burka district of Baghlan.
He completed his primary and high school education in in Sher Khan High School, Kundoz province and later enrolled in the faculty of law at Balkh University.

6-Maulvi Zainullah-u-Din  Alavi:
Son of Gulam-u-ddin, Maulvi Zainullah-u-Din Alavi Alavi is born in 1965 in Jalgah district of Baghlan.
He studied school until 6th class and later enrolled in a private religious school. He obtained semi higher education up to 14th class in religious Madrasas.
Getting membership of Jamiat-e-Islami political party in 1980, he worked as a Jihadi commander.
In 1987, Alavi was captured by the government of the time and sent him behind the bars. After a year in custody, he was released and became a representative of Baghlan province on behalf of Harakat-e-Islami political party in 1989.
Alavi returned to Afghanistan in 1992 and elected as member of provincial council in 2005 in both tenures.
7-Dr. Faisal Sami:
Son of Mohmmad Sami, Dr. Faisal Sami is born in 1971 in Puli Khumri, the capital city of Baghlan.
He completed his primary and higher education at Hazrat-a-Umar Farooq High School and later enrolled in medical studies at Kabul University.
Currently, he is member of provincial council in its second tenure.

8- Mohammad Khalil Anwari:
Mohammad Khalil Anwari is the son of Mohammad Anwar. He is born in 1967 in Farang district of Baghaln.
Soon after completion of primary education in Frang district, Anwari joined Mujahideen under the flag of Jamiat-a-Islami political party.
He received military training in Pakistan at times of Jihad and later elected commander of quick response force in Farang district.
After the victory of Mujahiddin, he went to US and returned back to Afghanistan in 2009.
Currently, he is the member of provincial council for the second term.
9-Alam Jan:
Son of Mohammad Jan, Alam Jan is born in 1963 in Puli Khumri, the capital of Baghlan province.
He completed his primary studies at Chashma Sheer Kwandah primary school and later in 1357 joined Mujahidin of Hizb-e-Islami wing under the leadership of Gulbadin Hikmatyar.
He nominated himself for the membership of provincial council in 2009. Currently, he is member of Baghlan provincial council.

10-Alhaj  Mohammad:
Alhaj Mohammad is the son of Gul Mohammad. He is born in 1969 in Burka district of Baghlan province.
He joined the Jamiat-e- Islami political party in the course of Jihad and took responsibility as an officer of 20 brigades in Baghlan. After Mujahidin’s victory, he worked there until 2009 and later elected member of provincial council.

11-Fazluddin Muradi:
Son of Alhaj Murad, Fazluddin Muradi is born in 1977 in Jilghah district of Baghlan province.
He completed his primary and higher education at the central district school. He joined the Jamiat-e-Islami political party during Jihad and returned to Puli Khumri after the victory of Mujahidin.
In 2009, he nominated himself for the membership of provincial council and became the member of provincial council as representative of district Jilgah people.
He also continued his education at Farhang Institute of Higher Education in the same period.

 12- Mrs. Gulshan Jan Nawabi:
Daughter of Mohammad Naseem, Gulshan Jan Nawabi is born in 1964 in Khanabad district of Kundoz province.
She completed her primary education No.1 girls’ school and higher education at central girl’s high school. Later, she joined Teacher Training and after the graduation and became teacher at Hawa high school in Puli Khumri city untile 2009. Afterward, Gulshan worked as teacher at different schools and now she is member of Baghlan provincial council.

13- Mrs. Zargona Stanikza:
Daughter of Abdul Jalil, Zargona Stanikszia is born in 1973 in Dandi Ghori area of Puli Khumri city.
She studied up to 11th at Amina Fidvi high school in Kabul. She was elected member of provincial council in 2005 and still serves as member of the council.

 14-Mrs. Nooria Hameedi:
Nooria Hameedi is the daughter of Abdul Hameed. She is born in 1979 in Dahna Ghori district.
She completed her primary high school at Azizan High School in her hometown. She became member of provincial council for the second term.
Currently, she is student of political science at Hakim Sanayi Institute of higher education besides being member of provincial council.

  15-Mrs. Nida Kayani:
Daughter of Sayed Allauddin, Nida Kayani is born in 1987 in Kayan valley, Doshi district of Baghlan province.
She studied at Bibi Hawa high school in Puli Khumri city and later graduated in law and political science from Kabul University.
Nida Kayani became member of provincial council in the second tenure in 2009 and worked as secretary of council. She was critically injured in armed attack by unidentified gunmen in Puli Khumri city in 2010.
Currently, she is in charge of weekly Siah Safaid magazine and member of provincial council.
