3. Biodata:
Jalis_AzizaMrs. Aziza Jalis, daughter of Safiullah, was born in 1964 in Khesht Pul district, Sar-i-Pul
province. Jalis finished her secondary education in Khadija High School in Jowzjan province in 1983. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Literature at Kabul University in 1988.

Jalis worked voluntarily as the deputy of the civil society department in the Department for Women’s Affairs in Sar-i-Pul. She has been involved in civil society activities including: running literacy courses for children and organizing workshops for women on the subject of gender and women’s rights from an Islamic perspective. Jalis was also the editor-in-chief for the Semay Zan monthly publication.

Aziza Jalis it is said that she has an arab ethnic background. Jalis is with Hezb-e-Junbish Milli Islami Afghanistan (Dostum). When the party did not support her in the 2005 parliamentary election, she stood independently for election in 2010. She has been outspoken in condemning violence against women. Jalis ran unsuccessfuly for parliament in 2005, gaining 2,979 votes.

Son of Aziza Jalees Member of Parliament committed suicide in northern Sar-e-Pul province. Aneel Ahmad Jalees after verbal quarrel with his wife committed suicide.(20171022)

Aziza Jales has received 6,056 votes in Wolesi Jirga election 2018 and got a seat in WJ 2018.
 

She is married and has four daughters and two sons.
