sabari_tahirTahir Khan Sabari Saberi Sabri, is a resident of Khost. He also served as the Khost deputy governor in the past.(20120404)

Sabari is described as humble in demeanor, he dressed in Pashtun regalia and hailed from Taliban-ridden Sabari  district in north Khost. Clearly not an outsider like the men he filled in for, he no doubt knew more about insurgent activity than he let on. But the American and ANSF forces in Khost vastly preferred working with Sabari than anyone else. Unlike so many others, he was fair, practical, and direct in articulating problems and suggesting solutions.(2008,2009)

Tahir Khan Sabari (20100105) was a acting Governor since 20091218. He was slightly wounded in his foot due to breaking glass, and the executive director and governor’s office manager have been slightly hurt by flying glass by a bomb 20100107 in the Governors office in Khost.
After Abdul Jabbar Naeemi was appointed Governor of Khost Province he replaced Tahir Khan Sabari as Head of Administration (2010). Sabari has a son, Arifullah Pashtun, who is a member of Meshrano Jirga (20100805) representing Khost Province.

Protestors from Logar alleged Governor Tahir Khan Saberi, in connivance with an influential Kuchi tribesman, Naeem Khan Kuchi, had occupied private land measuring 1,500 acres meant for distribution to nomadic families.(20120524)
