3. Biodata Mohammad Akram Khpalwak:
khpalwak_akramMohammad Akram Khpalwak attended the Kabul University Medical School. He is a leader of the Afghanistan Youth Society. He was appointed a representative of the Loya Jirga, the appointed body that drafted the new constitution prior to the first elections to the new Wolesi Jirga. 2005 he ran for a seat in the Wolesi Jirga, but earned only a small fraction of the popular vote (1%). Khpalwak has extensive links to both Hezb-e Islami and Karzai’s family. If he will be able to get the same degree of support as  Governor of Farah Province and cooperation that his predecessor Rohul Amin enjoyed by his Afghan Millat fellow party members, things will probably remain the same.(20120424)

Mohammad Akram Khpalwak is a Pashtun who was appointed governor of Paktika province in 2006 as part of an effort by the Karzai administration to improve security and reduce corruption. He served in the role until early 2010, when he was chosen to be deputy chief of the National Directorate of Security.

He was confirmed by Wolesi Jirga as Minister of Border and Tribal Affairs 20130925.

It is rumored that Akram Khpelwak a close person to President Ghani offered iPhone 6, perfume, watches & money for Wolesi Jirga MPs to vote for his nominated men for Cabinet Minister . (20150121)

Presidential Adviser Mohammad Akram Khpolwak has been appointed for the post as a new a secretariat chief  of The Afghan High Peace Council (AHPC) amid reports the c ouncil is facing budget crisis. Khpolwak will also retain his post as the adviser to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai. Khpolwak’s main responsibilities as the head of the secretariat of the council will include participation in National Security Council meetings, dealing with the implementation of the peace deals, organizing and supervising the budgetary issues, and provide financial and technical support to peace negotiations.(20170402)
