3. Biodata:
Mawlawi Nik Mohammad was born 1957 and hails from Nawa district of Helmand. Others say he was born in Zangiabad village, Panjwai District, Kandahar Province. He is said to be from Nurzai tribe. He was briefly appointed as a deputy minister in Kabul, but left the job to lead the education department in Kandahar where he remained until the Taleban’s collapse.  He said he wanted to remain near to Amir ul Mu’mineen.

It is said he
was a senior member of the Taliban leadership. The United Nations Security Council issued Security Council Resolution 1267 in 1999, which listed senior Taliban members.
The United Nations requested member states to freeze the financial assets of those individuals. Nik Mohammad was listed as one of the Taliban's Deputy Minister of Commerce.
 

Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei  arranged a two days "Islamic Awakening Conference" September 18,  2011. Rabbani participated and Waheed Muzhda was a member of Rabbani's delegation. He said that Taliban Nik Mohammad and Tayeb Agha were also present at the conference. Iran tried unsuccessfully to broker talks between Rabbani and the Taliban Representatives due to refusal of Rabbani.(20110930)

Fazal Subhan aka Kaka was shot dead along with four of his companions in Khogyani district. Subhan was a key leader of the Taliban group in Khogyani district and was the brother of Mawlavi Nik Mohammad.(20170814)

At least ten insurgents belonging to the Taliban group leader Mawlavi Nik Mohammad joined peace process in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.(20180206)
