3. Biodata:

Ludin AtaullahMaulvi Attaullah Ludin, Son of Maulvi Shamsu Rahman, is born in 1961 in Kammah district of the eastern Nangarhar province.
He received his primary education in his native town while completed his secondary studies at Najm-ul-Madaris at his home province. For higher education, Ludin travelled to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He served as member of High Peace Council. Earlier, the newly-appointed governor has been a prominent member of Hizb-i-Islami.
Earlier, he served various capacities including MP from Nangarhar, attorney general of this province, court of appeal chief and head of executive courts.
He discharged his duties as chief commander of Hizb-i-Islami in Nangarhar during Jihad against Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

Previously, he has held different government positions, including the Nangarhar attorney, Kabul appellate court judge and director of prisons.

He was a member of Wolesi Jirga 2005 and the chairman of the justice panel of the lower house.

He later was a Deputy High Peace Council (HPC) Chairman. (20110927)

President Hamid Karzai had recommended Maulvi Ataullah Lodin, the second deputy of High Peace Council, to serve as the Attorney General (AG).(20130314)

Maulvi Attaullah Ludin was again tipped as successor to Attorney General Muhammad Aloko, who was rumored to be removed from his position after a secret meeting with Taliban negotiators.(20130819) President Karzai's office has officially denied reports that the President fired Attorney General Mohammad Ishaq Aleko on 20130818, saying that he remains and will continue to remain Afghanistan's top legal advisor.(2010819)

 

Attaullah Ludin, the deputy chief of Afghanistan's High Peace Council (AHPC), said on May 1, 2015  that the 20-member delegation will meet Taliban representatives for "open discussions." Ludin said the talks would take place on May 3 and 4.  A Taliban official in Qatar also said a meeting was set for the next few days with Afghan officials as well as Pakistani officials.(20150501)

A presidential decree says Attaullah Ludin was appointed as senator in line with article 84 of the constitution, replacing Bakhtar Aminzai. Aminzai had been selected as senator by President Ghani seven months ago. Maulvi Attaullah Ludin was the member of Wolesi Jirga in 15th term.(20190401)

He speaks Pashto, Dari and Arabic fluently.
