karzai_azizAziz Karzai Azizullah Karzai (Karzai Clan, Popolzai Tribe) son of Khair Muhammad was born 1936 and is the eldest Ambassador in Afghanistan's diplomatic service. Aziz Ullah Karzai graduated with a B.A. degree in Political Science and Diplomacy from Kabul University 1958. After military service he entered he entered the Afghan foreign service and was First Secretary at the Afghan General Consulate in Quetta, Pakistan, 1966.  Karzai served as a member of the Protocol Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) 1969. He was appointed Ambassador to the Czech Repunblic after the fall of the Taliban. In Prague he obtained an M.A. degree at the Carolina University in 1973. Later  he became Afghan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and thereafter to the Russian Federation (Russia).

He is the uncle of Hamid Karzai who was representing the leader as his special envoy, held a meeting (20020203) at the Gardez residence of the military commander, Haji Ishaq. Eyewitnesses said Aziz Karzai was accompanied by at least 10 U.S. military personnel. Azizullah Karzai is one of the Karzai Clan's experts on tribal maneuvering.

Karzai is fluent in Dari, Pashtu, English, French, Urdu and Hindi.
