Fauzia Sadat Fawzia Sadaat Samkanai, daughter of Sayed Abdul Manan, was born 1974 in DehSabz District, Kabul Province. She has a BA in Literature and University education. She graduated from Literature Faculity in 2008. Sadaat is affiliated with Hizb-e-Islami.

She failed as a candidate for Wolesi Jirga 2010 elections in Bagrami District, Kabul Province.

She was appointed Meshrano Jirga Member 20110220 and is a member of the Complaints and Petitions Commission.

Deputy Attorney General Rahmatullo Nazari said the office had sent a letter to the senate on February 23 asking it to strip Sadaat of her immunity to pave the way for launching a criminal probe against her. According to Nazari, prosecutors have obtained documents indicating Sadaat's association with a criminal kidnapping group allegedly led by her brother, who is currently under arrest.The Attorney-General’s Office detained a Senator, Fawzia Sadat, accused of having links with abductors. However, the senator was released on bail. Sadaat denies the allegation.(20120223).

Her brother Abdul Samad, is the Head of the kidnapping group and Fauzia Sadat had previously used her influence to get him released from prison. His first arrest took place four years ago during which Samad was wounded. He has been involved in many cases of kidnappings and armed thefts.  He made people that he kidnapped naked, mutilated their ears, filmed it and sent the videos to their families.(20120227)
 

The Attorney-General Office confirmed that, after the Senate did not approve the arrest of Senator Fauzia Sadat, her dossier was officially sent to the court.(20120430)
