3. Biodata:
Homayoun_TandarHomaioon Tandar son of Mohammad Ibrahim was born Aug 31, 1956 in Kabul and grew up in a middle class family. 1975 Baccalaureate, Lycee Isteqlal (Kabul – Afghanistan). None of his family had previously served in politics or diplomacy.

At the end of 1979, Soviet troops invaded Mr Tandar’s country, he abandoned his PhD studies and, in 1981, moved to Pakistan to support the Afghan Resistance. 1976 – 1980 Bachelor of Art and Archaeology in La Sorbonne (Paris IV), 1980 – 1981 Master’s Degree in Archaeology in La Sorbonne (Paris IV), 1993 – 1994 Specialization Degree, International Relations in the International Institute for Public Administration (Paris).

Tandar speaks broken, heavily accented English. Tandar  prefers to express himself in French, a language he speaks fluently.

Tandar speaks Dari, French, English. He is married and has two children.
