3. Biodata:
Dr. Safia Sidiqi, Safia Sediqi was born 1963 in Nangahar Province. She bagged 3rd most votes in Wolesi Jirga Elections 2005. She is a citizen of Canada and has a doctorate in law. She ran a legal advice bureau in Canada for afghan women and now calls herself an activist for women’s rights. She is from the Nangharhar province, ethnically Pashtun, a former close ally of Karzai, but a feminist at the same time. Safia Siddiqui left the comforts of Toronto to help rebuild her native Afghanistan. Mrs. Safia Sidiqi was Secretary and Assistant of Afghanistan Constitutional Loya Jirga. She is the most active Pashtun women in the Parliament and possibly associated with Qanuni. She was a member of the National Economy committee.

She has Canadian Citizenship.

Safia Siddiqui is married to tribal and religious leader Asif Safi.

Safya Saddiqui speaks Pashtu, Dari and English.
