3. Biodata:
Dr. Asamatullah Shenwari Ismatullah Shinwari, son of Abdul Aziz, was born in 1974 in the Batan village, Achen district in Nangarhar province. His family is well-known among Nangarhar residents because his grandfather was a brigadier general in the Afghan National Army and his uncle governed Khewa district. Shenwari graduated from Nangahar High School in 1993. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Stomatology from the Medical Faculty of Nangarhar University in 1996.

After his schooling, Shinwari began work in a private pharmacy. From 1998-1999, he worked at the Isra Private Clinic in Nangahar province and remained in the medical field until 2005.

Dr. Asmatullah Shinwari is an independent Wolesi Jirga 2010 member.

Shinwari is married and has six children.
