3. Biodata:
Abdul Sattar, son of Muhammad Alim, was born in 1959 in the village of Shurab in Dahana Ghori district of Baghlan province. After completion his primary education, he enrolled in Ibn Sina High School. He was imprisoned twice during the period of Communist rule. Abdul Sattar was appointed administrative director of the anti-government front in Dahana Ghori during the presidency of Babrak Karmal. After a few years, he traveled to Pakistan as a representative of Baghlan province. For nine years, he provided supplies to the various fronts through Hezb Islami led by Mawla Muhammad Younus Khalis. Abdul Sattar was imprisoned for one year during Dr. Najibulllah's presidency. He was released following the mujahideen victory during the presidency of Sebghatullah Mojadeddi. He then established a local military regiment and served as its commander. He later served as the district governor of central Baghlan. He later served as district governor of Dahana Ghori district. Abdul Sattar has traveled to Pakistan, Iran, Uzbekistan and Russia. He was introduced as a temporary senator to the Meshrano Jirga.
