mohammad_salih_hajiHaji Salih Muhammad, son of Mirza Muhammad, was born in 1976 in the Barkanday
village of Dara Pech district, Kunar Province. Muhammad completed primary school at Barkanday School in Dara Pech district, and attended secondary school in 1989 at the Imam Abu Hanifa Norman School in Bajawar, Pakistan. During the war in Afghanistan, his family immigrated to Peshawar, where he studied at a private school until 1996. In 2006,
he received his Afghan High School Graduation Certificate.

Muhammad fought in the jihad for a few years but left the Mujahideen during their rule in Afghanistan. From 1992 to 2005, he worked on creating his own business in food import and vehicle sales, and was head of the Kunar Business Council. From 2000-2002 he also served as general manager with the Ministry of Transportation in Kunar Province.

From 2005-2010 he served in the Meshrano Jirga, having been named from his position on the Kunar Provincial Council. During this term, he was head of the Defense Affairs commission in the Meshrano Jirga.

Muhammad serves as one of two secretaries of the Coalition for the Support of the Rule of Law

He is married and has seven sons and four daughters.
 

Muhammad speaks Pashtu and Dari.
