Sadat_AnwarSaid Anwar Sadat was born in 1971 in Emankhurd district, Sar-i-Pul province. Sayed Anwar Sadaat is the son of Sayed Muqim.Sadat graduated from Menhaj o Siraj school of Sar-i-Pul, and received his Bachelors degree in Journalism from Istanbul University in 2001. Sayed Anwar Sadat was educated in Turkey. He is the Director General of Aina TV, which is owned by Dostum. He previously served as General Abdul Rashid Dostum’s press advisor. He is also the manager of Ariana TV in Kabul. He established the first privately owned Afghan TV station, Afghanistan-Ayena TV, in 2002, and served as its head from 2002-2005. In 2005, he left to head the Turk Tabaran Afghanistan social and cultural organization, later returning to Ayena TV in 2007.

A number of senators called for the trial of an MP from Sar-i-Pul, Anwar Sadat, claiming that he had insulted a majority ethnic group.On 20130721, a number of civil society organizations staged a protest before the Parliament building in Kabul and called for the trial and expulsion of Anwar Sadat from the lower House over this anti-Pashtun comments. The Attorney General Office (AGO) summoned MP Saed Anwar Sadat over his remarks in parliament. The AGO spokesman said that Sadat remarks in the general session of the House of Representatives was against the article 81 of the constitution and he disrespected to an Afghan ethnic (Pashtun). December 19, 2015

Syed Anwar Sadat escaped unhurt from a Taliban ambush. The incident took place around 4:45 pm local time after Sadat was returning to the provincial capital following the inauguration of housing projects in Andkhoy district.(20151219)

Sayed Anwar Sadat is 
a close aide to the first vice president Abdul Rashid Dostum and was made deputy of the National Security Adviser.(20171212)
