3. Biodata:
General Abdul Majid Rouzi Ruzi Rozi was a Uzbek commander of Arab Descent during the Afghan Civil war. He was allied with the forces of General Abdul Rashid Dostum. In 1992 Ruzi was in charge of the overall command of the forces of Junbish. During the battle of Kabul, Majid Ruzi was reportedly profiting from the looting of Kabul by his forces and the forces of General Dostum. He was recalled to Mazar-e Sharif in 1992. Ruzi was Uzbek General Abdul Rashid Dostum's Salang commander in 1996. Gen Majeed Rozi, at the time in Baghdis Province was one of the commanders who sided with Abdul Malik when he defected to the Taliban in 1997. He proceeded to arrest Dostum's commanders as well as Ismail Khan who he handed over to the governor of Herat Mullah Abdul Razzaq. Rozi was also present during the transfer of Taliban prisoners to Sheberghan in which thousands were killed and suffocated in containers. From November 25th-December 1, 2001 st he was in charge of Dostum's forces at the of Battle of Qala-i-Jangi in which approximately 300-400 prisoners were killed. On February 3, 2002, in the face of escalating conflict in Mazar-e Sharif, Majid Ruzi lead a 600-person mixed security force for the city drawn from each of the 5 parties operating in the region, after a United Nations backed agreement. Dostam, one of Afghanistan's most powerful warlords, was appointed by Karzai 2005 as chief of staff of the high command of the country's armed forces, a largely symbolic post that removes the faction leader from his Shiberghan powerbase. "Yes, general Dostam has resigned as leader of party," deputy party leader, Gen Abdul Majid Rozi, told AFP, referring to the 'Junbish Mili Islami Party', drawn mostly from ethnic Uzbeks. Later as a ANA commander of western region, General Abdul Majeed Ruzi, retired on 20110111. A high-level delegation of interior ministry introduced General Abdul Majeed Rozi during a ceremony in Herat.(20150219)
