raoufi_fauziaMrs. Alhaj Fowzia Raoufi Fozoa Raufi, daughter of Abdul Raouf, was born in 1970, in the fifth district of Maimana city (Afghan Kot area) in Faryab province. Raoufi completed her secondary education at Sitara High School, Faryab in 1989. She got her bachelor’s degree from the Pedagogical Institute in Faryab province in 1993.
 

Raoufi has worked in both government and non-governmental offices, including international organizations. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Raoufi worked as a teacher and then as the principal of high schools in both Faryab province and Mazar-e-Sharif until the Taliban period began.

After the Taliban came to power, she worked as a f ield officer for Doctors without Borders, then at theUnited Nation’s Children Fund (UNICEF) as focal point/communications officer for two years in sectorsincluding water supply, education and health in Faryab province. Raoufi also worked with the UnitedNations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) for 18 months in the security department and at the National Solidarity Program as a regional officer.
 

Fawziyah Raoufi Fawzia Fauzia Raufi  was a member of the Committee on Cultural and Religious affairs in Wolesi Jirga 2005. According to Fawzia Raufi in the northern province of Faryab, 80 per cent of women experience violence in their daily lives and lack access to basic health, education and justice services.
 

Fauzia Raufi, Wolesi Jirga 2005 Secretary Muhammad Saleh Saljuqi, legislators Sheenkay Karokhel, Dr. Muhammad Noor Akbari, Fatima Aziz sought greater regional cooperation with Afghanistan in overcoming its myriad problems - notably terrorism and economic regeneration. Fauzia Raufi from the northern Faryab province says she can not go into her constituency for fear of local commanders.

Lawmaker Fauzia Raufi has been accused of illegally shifting an ID card distribution center to an area of her wish and distributing old ID cards to her supporters in this capital city of northern Faryab province. Ahmad Zia Sherzai, a potential candidate in the upcoming Wolesi Jirga elections from Faryab, alleged Raufi “hijacked” three Population Registration Department (PRD) employees and tasked them with distributing old ID cards to her supporters at a private place without informing the authorities concerned.(20180507)

Fauzia Raufi secured 1,326 votes in Wolesi Jirga 2018 election and got a seat in WJ 2018.


She is married and has one daughter.
