3.Biodata:
Qasimi_AliAli Akbar Qasimi is the son of Haji Mohammad Hassan and was born 1954 in Nahor, Ghazni Province and is an important commander of Hizb-e Wahdat who fought against the Taliban. Qasimi graduated from the Kochi Lailiya School, Ghazni province, in 1963. He then joined the Pul-i Charkhi Military School in Kabul for two years.

Qasimi was a member of the Islamic Solidarity Council (Shorai Etefaq Islami), but then he became member of Hezb-e-Wahdat Islami Mardom Afghanistan in 1979. From 2002-2004, he was Commander of the Afghan National Army’s fourteenth division, garrisoned in Ghazni province.
 

Former General Qasimi belongs to social forces that agitated for the establishment of an Islamic state. He is close to Mohaqiq. Qasimi is widely known as an influential figure in Ghazni province.
 

He went through Disarmament, Demobilizaiton, and. Reintegration (DDR) Program. He was a member of the Committee on Defense Affairs in Wolesi Jirga 2005. He bagged 2nd most votes in the Wolesi Jirga Elections 2005. In order to build his reputation and to prepare for the 2010 elections, Qasimi used his own funding to build schools in the Barjegi, Joregi and Khawak areas of the Nahor district in Ghazni province.

Qasimi member of lower house (Wolisi Jirga ) was wounded in  an explosion in Kabul today (20140914) The incident occurred in Pul-e-Sokhta area in a sport club.
According to the source, explosive material was placed where General Ali Akbar Qasimi  was exercising there. He is under treatment in a hospital in Kabul and his health condition reported satisfactory.
