3. Biodata:
nazad_dehqan_ustad_najlaNajla Dihqan Nijhad Nizhad was born 1963 in the 5th District of Herat City, Herat Province. Nazhad studied up to seventh class at Zarghona High School in Kabul, and then graduated from Miri High School in Herat in 1975. She has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Herat University.

Nazhad was the head of the Afghan Women’s Association in Torbat-e Jam, Iran, for a number of years. She has connections with women’s organizations and human rights NGOs in Herat. She was also a member of the Women’s Council of Herat in 2003 as well as a member of the Women’s Invitation Council in 2005.

She lived in Iran from 1981 to 1993, heading up three private schools there, including Khadia Ul Kubra and Aseya. 2005 Parliament:  She was a secretary of the Committee on legislative affairs ‎in Wolesi Jirga 2005. The Spokeswoman of Taraqi Khwa (Pro-Progress Group) is Najla Dehqan Nejad, MP from Herat province. She is said to be close to Hieszb-i-Islami.

She is married with sevn children, four daughters and three sons.

She speaks Dari.
